Why two services can return different percentages
Each service chooses reference samples, population labels, quality thresholds, and statistical methods. Closely related populations may be difficult to separate. Regions with fewer reference samples may produce broader or less stable assignments.
Updates can move percentages even when your DNA file stays the same. A useful report identifies the method version, reference panel, analysis date, and confidence or uncertainty. Save the report if you want to compare changes over time.
